Beta Design

Would be much obliged if you would rate my scarf design (highly!) on Beta. It is a fashion based project running regular competitions allowing designers to have their designs produced as silk scarfs. It is full of great work so have a look! Voting closes on Sunday.

Aw gee, you blogged about me?

Well thanks guys! First up is Jon Reid, he has a great blog featuring contemporary artists, events and all sorts of cultural goodies! Definitely worth a look. He mentioned me in his post about the ECA degree show:

A big thank you to Franca for her blog post about my artwork, I met Franca at the degree show where she and her husband bought a picture of mine. She has a great lifestyle blog with a lil post about my work and their new pic, I'm happy it has gone to a good home!

The machines will take over!

Had to share my excitement over my first use of a laser cutter. From a lino cut fish to a plywood fish in next to no time. Laser cutting is blowing my mind.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-check it out

Degree show has arrived!

Finally the degree show is here, come have a look! I am with MFA illustration on the forth floor in evolution house. It is open 10am to 5pm with late opening Wednesday and Thurs till 8. NO excuses!

The fallow deer at the lonely house

I have been experimenting with monotype recently, here is my take on the Thomas Hardy poem.

The Fallow Deer at the Lonely House

One without looks in tonight
Through the curtain-chink
From the sheet of glistening white;
One without looks in tonight
As we sit and think
By the fender-brink.

We do not discern those eyes
Watching in the snow;
Lit by lamps of rosy dyes
We do not discern those eyes
Wondering, aglow,
Four-footed, tiptoe.
